Richard Leigh (1943-2007) was a novelist and writer of short stories. With Michael Baigent he co-authored a number of books, including the bestseller The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail (with Henry Lincoln), The Dead Sea Scrolls Deception The Messianic Legacy, The Temple and the Lodge, Secret Germany: Claus von Stauffenberg and the Mystical Crusade against Hitler, The Elixir and The Stone, and The Inquisition.

Before his death, Mr. Leigh returned his focus to fiction, releasing Erceldoune & Other Stories in 2006, and the semi-autobiographical novel Grey Magic in 2007.

Mr. Leigh was born in New Jersey and lived in England. He pursued his BA at Tufts University, Boston, a Masters degree at the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He was a trustee of the Pushkin Trust.
